A traditional Spring “kick-off” event that draws hundreds of our area’s residents together for a series of science-based workshops taught by Master Gardener Volunteers & local experts. This year we are pleased that Peter Bowden, well-known Capital Region gardener & writer, will be the keynote speaker. Fifteen 90-minute classes (two sessions) will be offered, covering a wide range of gardening topics including: Attracting Birds & Butterflies with Native Plants; Creating A Cutting Garden; Gardening with Herbs; Rain Gardens; Vegetable Gardening; Worm Composting; Succulent Terrarium Building; & more. Registrants can select one class from each workshop session; the 1st session runs from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., the 2nd from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Peter’s keynote speech will run from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Cost is $25 per person for keynote address & two workshops.
