People take an average of 21,600 breaths per day. With 80% of American’s time spent indoors, the quality of the air we breathe is very important. October is National Indoor Air Quality Awareness Month -- don’t be spooked! Learn what you can do to make the air you breathe even better and your home more comfortable, healthy and livable. Topics to be covered include asthma, carbon monoxide, energy efficiency, fall prevention, lead, mold, toxic cleaning supplies, and more. Attendees will also hear about the Health Department’s Healthy Neighborhoods program whereby HNP educators provide FREE in-home health and safety assessments to Columbia County individuals and families. Door prize drawings will be held at each session.
