Digging Up the Past: Archaeology

  • Monday, July 30, 2018, 11:00 AM - Friday, August 3@ 12:00 PM

Archaeology is a scientific discipline where archaeologists attempt to learn about the past through the objects left behind by past groups of people. In this workshop, youth learn about what archaeology is and what archaeologists do through hands-on activities. They will participate in a simulated dig and analyze the artifacts they find. They will learn about the importance of not only understanding the past, but preserving it for future understanding.
